This has become one of my new favorite places in the city. I cannot begin to explain just how amazing the food is here as well as the service. You can tell whenever you visit here that every dish is made with love and care as each bite is delicious as much as it is comforting. I just come for the spam and eggs and to have a conversation with the owner, but as you look around so many people use the beautiful space here study, work, have business meetings, or simply meet with friends. The space is small, but everything here is set with a purpose. Zadie's Breakfast Sando is an easy pick as it is popular and very filling, but my personal favorite is the spam and eggs, I can go on and on about it, but there's so many dishes and teas here that deserve the spotlight. The veggie bowl is filling and flavorful, the fresh teas are just exactly that... FRESH, no teabag nonsense here so the herbs really do their job and stand out in the best ways possible. The biscuits are next level. As a guy who was never crazy about traditional biscuits, these really stand out from the rest as they are soft, moist and cooked to utter perfection, I dont think I've had one biscuit here that didn't simply taste amazing. Savory or sweet, they're all a hit. Lastly, I just wanted to talk about the lemonade espresso drink. I know it sounds crazy, but open your mind and your palette a bit and try something new, it kind of has an arnold palmer feel to it, but with a nice caffeine kick, it may be my favorite drink! When I say, support small businesses this is what I'm talking about.

I came here for a quick lunch break from work. The owner is a very friendly woman who obviously cares about what she sells to her customers. I had the Reuben sandwich and the fresh lemonade. Both were excellent! The pastrami was thinly sliced and full of flavor. Came with a small salad with arugula and balsamic dressing. I had a nice conversation with the owner/chef- such a nice person. I'll be back for sure to support this neighborhood gem!

4.5 STARS Parking is a premium in the city. At one point, a parking space in a condo building was going for $100k. Hey, you can live in your Tesla and say you own a piece of property in the city! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Café Da Fonk! is located in a micro-plaza with FREE parking. And, sometimes...convenience and parking dictates where you should eat. Tho, there's more reasons to visit Café Da Fonk... It's quiet (you can get some work done but make sure to have a hotspot). And, they serve affordable AND flavorful food. Café Da Fonk! took over Good Pie which took over longtime brunch staple Sally's. They're open for takeout, delivery, and dine-in. Dog-friendly outdoor seating. Fast-casual. After ordering and paying, seat yourself and your food is delivered to you. When you're finished, bus your own table. The Armenian-inspired sujuk was boldly spiced with aromatics. It paired great with the rice and soft scrambled eggs, while the pickled onions + microgreens added a fresh, acidic punch. It's finished with a drizzle of creamy spicy mayo and slices of avocado that was browning. Maybe because it was my first meal of the day (lunch time) and I was hangry but I thought the portion was on the smaller side and could of used more sujuk. Maybe they can offer an option for double protein? S E R V I C E Prompt (only customer). A M B I A N C E Cozy and artsy (bohemian) with two separate dining areas and front patio seating. My search for good coffee had me here. Fresh ground coffee was very very strong. The owner, gave us a slice of sweet potato strudel. It was the best sweet potato treat I I've ever had. The Arnold's fonky Ruben remix was good. Black woman owned restaurant with an eclectic decor. The owner and the staff were very attentive.
